Pawnee Aviation, Inc.
McCook Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) announced December 6th, 2004 the successful recruitment of Pawnee Aviation to the McCook area. Pawnee designs and builds kit helicopters for sale both domestically and internationally. Classified as experimental by the FAA, these well engineered units have a wide range of potential markets from recreation and crop dusting, to law enforcement and border patrol. Pawnee Aviation CEO, Ron Willocks says: "Pawnee Aviation will make a positive impact on McCook and the surrounding area as we build and design helicopters." Pawnee Aviation received $300,000 from the Community Development Block Grant revolving loan fund held by the Red Willow County Commissioners. MEDC secured and remodeled an existing commercial building to meet the company's needs. Pawnee Aviation will start with ten full-time equivalent employees and grow as they meet the private and public demand for the helicopters. |
