This class is based upon the nationally recognized programs of Neighborhood Reinvestment Training Institute and REACH (Readiness Education Awareness Collaborative for Homebuyers and Homeowners).

The eight-hour homebuyer education class will be held at McCook Community College in McMillen Hall, room 201. Professionals in real estate, insurance, and lending will also be speaking at the class. This is an excellent opportunity to hear directly from the professional and to ask any questions that you may have about the home buying process.

Key points to be addressed and discussed at the class include:

1. Choosing the right home.
2. Understanding the roles of the professionals involved.
3. The rights and the responsibilities of the consumer.
4. Budgeting and credit.
5. Obtaining a mortgage loan.
